Hi Julie,

You can find some information about the 2d-asm that is incorporated in
itk here:
http://mipgsun.mipg.upenn.edu/~andre/research_files/ASM_ITK.PPT

For 3D or ND I don't think there is anything inside itk yet.

I am writing an implementation of the Active Shape Model for the 
segmentation of medical images.  I was wondering if something exist in 
ITK to do that and if someone have
example done with this technics.  Any help would be greatly appreciated,
