I have compiled ITK in different versions many times with VS 2005 prof. 
for the x64 platform. A test with ICC 9.1 on the system of a friend also 
does not make any problems. cmake supports generating solution files for 
vs2005/x64.

There has been a discussion about that a few days before - but i am not 
sure on what actual state it is.
