[Insight-users] RE: Registration and background color

To be more specific on what I am trying to accomplish, here are my
2 input images:

fixed:
http://132.246.39.104/NationalGeographic/NEOAJDJDDWIFDS/New/IMG_0709_1_small.JPG

moving:
http://132.246.39.104/NationalGeographic/NEOAJDJDDWIFDS/New/IMG_0709_1_initial_projected_small.png

The violet pixels in the moving image are those pixels that should not be taken into account
for registration. The 2 original images are fairly big (~4K x ~2K) and initial pixel distances
is about 10-30 pixels.

Any suggestion on how to tackle this multi-modal registration will be welcomed, in terms 
of metric, optimizer, transformation, etc. etc.
