According to the comments I found in swig bugtracker, swig 1.3.36 and  
python 2.6 will produce many warnings while importing the modules.
A better option may be to patch swig's Source/Modules/python.cxx to  
implement the fix I suggested in the bug I filed (and attach that  
patch to the bug).
