Hi Meena,

If you are just looking for a viewer,
you may also want to consider using any of the following:

1) Slicer (www.slicer.org)
2) VV (http://www.creatis.insa-lyon.fr/rio/vv)
3) ITK-SNAP (http://www.itksnap.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php)

That said,
Mathieu's suggestion of using the gdcm viewer
is probably the one with the lightest weight.
