You can get the inverse as an itk::Matrix like this:

typedef itk::Matrix<double, 2, 2> MatrixType;

MatrixType M;
// ... fill M ...

MatrixType Minv( M.GetInverse() ); // Have to do this, because
GetInverse returns a vnl_matrix
