[Insight-users] pls help....... doubt in registration

Dear list,

I'd like to work on deformable registration. I've converted my images to
pointsets. Which transform available in ITK would you suggest that I use
for deformable registration taking into account that I'm performing a
pointset to pointset registration?
Say, since I'm working on pointsets, would I really need to take into
account rotation, scaling and shear? I mean that, if I were to apply a 3D
translation to a point in 3D space I would be able to move the point to any
position in the 3D space by giving appropriate translations in X, Y and Z
directions. So, does that mean I can eliminate rotation, scale and shear?

Please please please help
