Hi Mohammad!

First, thank you for your quick reply. I have 2 images of a test tube taken
with different modalities, the first one is a profilometric image (ONLY the
contour of the test tube (.mesh file)) as you see here down on the left side
of the picture and a series of PET images of the same test tube (94 slices)
on the right side of the picture.

I need to match both images together and I'm stuck here, the issue is I have
no mutual information between them. I mean the profilometric image doesn't
provide the information inside of the test tube, in the case of PET, it
does. So, I'm expecting to work geometrically as I said before, correct me
if I'm wrong:

step 1: get the 3D model of the PET image
step 2: mesh the result of the 3D model
step 3: find the 3D matrix of the transformation between the
source(profilometric) and the target(PET)

Can you be more specific when you talk about Landmarks-based methods? Do I
have to select some corresponding point on each picture? is there any
example of that?
