[Insight-users] state-of-art methods

Hello all,

i have implemented a new image registration method and i am doing now
an experimetal evaluation of the method and comparison to other
methods.

I would like to ask ITK users and developers to suggest "the best" or
"state-of-art" or "gold standard" method (transform-metric-optimizer
combination plus optimizer parameters setting if possible:)) for 3D
RIGID

    * single modality (e.g. MRI to MRI),

    * multi modality MRI-CT,

    * multi modality MRI-SPECT,

    * multi modality MRI-CT and

    * multi modality CT-SPECT

registrations. I have searched the insight-users archive a little bit
and studied several surveys on this topic, so i have some ideas, but
these are very vague, so please post your suggestion even to only some
of the registration tasks.
