Hello all
I have very large microscopy (10000 x20000) images that i want to segment.
Because of memory issues i want to use a multiresolution approach. The
regions of interest are quite large and the image features of interest very
small so after resizing to ca 1:10 of the original size I have the
impression that my downsampled images are too flat for the first coarse
segmentation of my ROIs
I was wondering if it would help if i binned in xyz by summation instead
of using a standard resampling filter ?
i would have to switch to float or double as pixel value but after direct
comparison i feel there is some more contrast.
Can someone with more image processing experience comment on this strategy ?
Thanks Jp
